Greater Lawrence Rowing varsity coxswain Hannah Couture today signed a commitment to attend Ohio State University in the fall of 2016. Couture, a senior at Manchester Central High School in Manchester, NH, and co-captain of the girls varsity team, chose Ohio State (NCAA D1 women’s rowing national champions for the last three years) for its rigorous academics and fierce competitive nature, as well as its storied history. “I believe that Ohio State University will allow me to be successful both in the classroom and on the water,” says Couture.
Hannah’s rowing accomplishments include:
- Coxed three different events (all 4+) at 2015 Canadian Henley Regatta, winning gold, silver and bronze medals.
- Competed in the 2015 San Diego Classic, coxing an 8+.
- Two time competitor in the Head of the Charles (2014 and 2015)
