Last weekend, Greater Lawrence Rowing’s Junior team competed at the 11th annual Lowell Invitational. It was a successful weekend for the team with 7 out of the 11 entries making it to semifinals and 4 boats then moving on to finals. The Women’s Novice 4+ finished as the 6th best boat in their event, while the Women’s Varsity 4+ and Men’s 3rd Varsity 4+ finished very close races just out the medals in 4th place. The Men’s 2nd Varsity 4+ then finished less than 2 seconds behind Norwalk to earn a silver medal for their event. Great job by all who competed and congratulations to Emma Calnan, Jacob Brooks, Wyatt Rothwell, Bryce Corbitt and Sam Drew for earning a medal!!

Next week the team will be in Lowell again for the USRowing Northeast Youth Championships.
